Hello. This is Don Merritt calling from Jensen Beach Elementary School. A text version of this call appears on the school website. Here is a listing of school announcements and events for this coming week.
To all JBE families: Kindergarten registration for August is now underway. Please help us spread the news to family and friends who have children turning 5 on or before September 1, 2012. Early registrations help us keep our outstanding Kindergarten staff in place. Parents may contact Mrs. Norris in the school office for details. Thank you in advance.
To all parents: the school website calendar contains all events schedule for JBE through May 25. Please check the online calendar when planning family commitments at school.
Happening this week at JBE:
All library books are due for return to the media center. Lost or missing books must be reimbursed by families.
On Monday, Young Authors will be celebrated in classrooms; there will be an ice cream social for all banking day students; and Mrs. Aursland’s Sunshine Book Club will meet at 1pm.
The final Student of the Month Lunches will take place on Wednesday for grades PreK, K, 1, and 2 and on Thursday for grades 3, 4 and 5. We thank all our PTA helpers, students and parents who attended our lunches to honor Students of the Month this year.
Also on Wednesday, there will be an Accelerated Reader Kickball game at 12:30pm. Parents are invited.
On Thursday, the classes of Ms. Voss and Mrs. Muroff will visit the Environmental Studies Center. Our final PBIS assembly will be held at 12:45pm and will feature final drawings for top prizes.
On Friday, there is Field day for grades 4 and 5; third grade has a bowling field trip; and the classes of Mrs. Zeblisky and Miss Yessie visit the Environmental Studies Center. Also on Friday, our PreK classes will have an end of year Hula program at 9am. There will also be a flag football tournament at 9am too. PTA is holding their final Family Fun Night at 6pm.
Next week is the last week of school. Students are expected to be in school each day since we have awards assemblies and a host of special variety of special fun events planned.
